Alive Audio is a Philly based audio production company run by Derek Schwartz. As recorded music becomes more and more pristine, we aim to bring back the human touch. Whether we’re recording in a studio or on a stage, we seek out the life and energy in every performance.

In addition to studio work, we concentrate on recording and mixing live performances. We believe that live albums can be every bit as expressive, creative, and impactful as a studio record. There is a communal energy in the room when a band is performing in front of their friends and family that can’t be recreated in a studio, and we want to get it on tape.

Since August 2026, we have hosted “Alive! From Philly” on WPPM 106.5 FM, where each episode we record a local band playing a local show and put it on the air. The show airs every 2nd and 4th Tuesday at 7pm and is available to stream here.
